These qualifications have been developed for learners wishing to develop the core knowledge and competencies required of a manager in the Tourism industry, however there is also the opportunity to gain specialist knowledge in areas such as Resort Management and Tour Operations.
Once learners have completed the level 5 Extended Diploma they will be eligible to apply for the final year of a bachelor degree as well as ready to go straight into employment, with practical skills and knowledge they can apply immediately.
ATHE encourages centres to combine the study of ATHE qualifications with a work placement relevant to the unit the learners are studying. All assignments must still be assessed in accordance with the guidelines set out in the Delivering ATHE Qualifications Handbook.
